With about an hour to spare after a busy weekend helping temperament test these little ones, I took out my camera (even though I didn’t notice it had the wrong lens) to snap a few shots before hopping in the car for the long drive home. It was short… but extremely sweet! I always love my trips to Petawawa!
Animals
The Big 0-2
Happy Birthday to Nash’s sister, Molly! We are so fortunate to have watched her grow in the last 2 years, and it is great to see our pups play and bond with each other! Molly has already done some amazing work in the Obedience and Rally ring, and she is such a sweet, loving girl!
Meagan and Osman welcomed us into their new home a few weeks back, and here are some shots of the pups – and Paisley, the cat!
Family Fun
My sister is home from her time abroad in China! We missed her so much, so we took the opportunity on this sunny Saturday to visit friends, run errands, and make a stop at the beach!
Sharing is Caring
Bushwhacking
I haven’t really taken the camera out much since it’s been sunny and warm here in Canada. So we went on a walk to the field near home, which has since been cut down! This short shoot ended with a nice bath for Nash to cool off, and a blow dry/tick check. I couldn’t resist taking some before and afters – his little body looks huge after a blow dry!
Kiwi
The May long weekend was busy spent in the garden and entertaining outdoors, and the only day we had free to take a nice little hike was the only day it rained! Good thing a few little sprinkles doesn’t scare us!
Little Lion
AĀ couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph Koa, a young PWD with a lot of energy and exuberance! His parents wanted to capture a few shots of his Lion Clip before getting his summer trim. Anyone who has triedĀ to shoot a youngĀ puppy knows that it is definitely a challenge at times, but weĀ managed to capture these lovely shots of this handsome little man! Yellow is definitely his colour!
Appreciate
After some time off, I am going back to work. Even though I am excited to start this new chapter, it is also bittersweet because in this time I was able to spend a lot of time with my little fur ball and best buddy! We have had some great adventures, and things will change a bit, but the adventures will continue just in a different way! It is time to savour and appreciate the few days we have left of daily runsĀ and impromptu photoshoots, so that is exactly what I will do!

Unapologetic Love
After a hard working weekend for Nash I happily captured a lazy day in his life, and I am glad I can also give him those days to unwind after he works his heart out for us!

PGS: Post Groom Syndrome
Causes: Long grooming sessions resulting from copious amounts of hair growing and growing and growing and growing – everywhere.
Prevention: None. It had to be done. Did you see the shag?!? #sorrynotsorry
Treatment: Sleep and cuddles, all day long!

I had this idea for a photo challenge a few weeks ago for a “colourful” photo theme. I never got around to execution until today. Here are a few shots of my oh-so-patient puppy helping make house chores more exciting!

Nash and I went for a walk yesterday – if you can believe it, this spot is in our neighbourhood. Through the winter it can sometimes be icy to get to. The snow has melted so we ventured out, but yesterday (though the sun could deceive you) the ground was solid, and the air was crisp with gusts of wind chill! The shelter of the trees makes a world of difference for me, though Nash could do with either condition!Ā Here are some shots from our late winter walk by the ravine.

Second Home
We visited my mom and dad this past weekend; though it was still filled with mad studying for exams, it was nice to be able to do it in a familiar place with family around me. Nash also has no trouble settling in at his second (my first) home. We went on a drive to a mural which was part of a community art project. I had to take the opportunity for some cool shots. And of course some other photos (in between studies) of an otherwise lazy weekend.

This is one of my favourite posts yet because it was part of a fun experiment I did to shoot outside of my comfort zone. I love the results!
Yesterday morning I woke up to a neighbourhood curtained in fog. I am part of the “our 52 – lifestyle project” group and I had been trying to envision a scenario to shoot for this week’s photo theme. I find it difficult sometimes because most people have kids and it’s easy to shoot with them and their activities. I love shooting my dog but I hardly ever get in front of the lens. With a tripod, camera and leash in hand we walked down to the (thus far) undeveloped plot of land, or the field as we call it, and I tried to produce something new and something interesting – I love them!

This is Nash’s brother Toby and he is curly-coated. I got to spend some time with him while we waited for his and Nash’s sister, Ceu, to go into labour.
